The holiday spirit was alive and well at the 15th Annual Trees for Toys event on Saturday, December 3. Donations reached a record-breaking 10,675 toys and $9,438 in cash/gift card donations for the Twin Cities Toys for Tots Program. The donated amounts reflect an 11 and 22 percent increase respectively over last year.
During the Trees for Toys event, customers order trees or wreaths courtesy of their Coldwell Banker Burnet independently affiliated sales associates prior to the event. In return we request that they bring a new, unwrapped toy when they pick up their tree or wreath. All the toys were donated to the U.S. Marine Corp Reserve Toys for Tots Program, which provides Christmas gifts to children in need in the community.
“I am so proud of the generosity of our independent sales associates, their clients and guests in donating this year’s amazing number of toys,” says Coldwell Banker Burnet President Robin Peterson. “I also want to thank our staff and real estate agents for their hard work in making this year’s Trees for Toys event such a great success. The giving spirit of all who donated allows us to help brighten the holidays for many children.”
Over the past 15 years, Trees for Toys has collected more than 136,000 toys!
